Infinite, 3D Head Scan. Released!

Infinite-ZB_Shots02

Finally the file is ready for distribution!

It’s a very basic package and over time I plan to slowly update it.

Introducing my very own tripleganger. This file includes a low cage polygon .obj file. Tangent and World Space Normal Maps and a Colour Albedo map as well as ZBrush file.

If you use the model at all, please reference where you Downloaded it, and feel free to send me any renders! I would love to see :)

Great job and really thanks alot for your efforts, the renders looks amazing!

The only problem I have right now is that the .rar files u linked to is broken (the links doesn’t work).

Would be super awesome to try this out in different render softwares!

Some very nice tests Sebastian, thanks for sharing here. It looks to me like there might be some displacement lost some how. What are you using in the engine? Lowest Polygon model and Tangent Normal Map?

      Respond
  • nbac September 30, 2010

yeah lowest res and tangent normal … the video compression also sucks the normal details …
here with more extreme lighting situation
the realtimeshader is doing a pretty good job i think

      It works well.

I know the model back to front and I am wondering if perhaps your viewer/engine might need one of the Normal Map channels swapped? as it seems like the normal map isn’t being displayed properly (not due to video compression) It’s evident on the shoulders and neck, there’s some kind of seam there. The render just seems kind of lumpy. I don’t use real-time viewers so I don’t know for sure.

Looks good to see it in a viewer :)

I downloaded the Infinite_Scan_Ver0.1.rar as well as Displacements and neither archive appears to contain the bump map image file. Am I missing something obvious here? BTW…thanks for posting this.

    Respond
    • Infinite July 29, 2011

Hi Shane, you should be able extract the Bump map using the masking/cavity technique in ZBrush, or either the Normal Map or Displacement map should suffice. Let me know how you get on.

Your models is perfect for my real time skin shader that I’m creating !

Hi Charles, your skin shader looks fantastic! Thank you for adding a mention and link on that site. Can I recommend you look into red shadow bleeding as well with the shader? it would really help add further realism to the shader, which already looks great. I like the Fresnel and specular effect very much.

      Respond
  • Charles March 31, 2012

Thanks ! I totally agree ! Bleeding shadows would be so great but it seams that with UDK ( unreal engine 3 ) I can’t access to the shadow buffer easely. If I found a way to deal with that I’ll let you know with new images ! Thanks again.

    Hello Lee!
Really nice you are sharing your stuff :)
I’m PRETTY SURE I’ve seen somewhere more maps for this on my computer ( so i downloaded from somewhere), for example sss intensity(masked eyebrows and beard, etc). I only see disp, normal and color maps in these packs.
Where I can find it? :)
    thank you!

Hey thanks. Those maps aren’t available, just the ones provided in the downloads. Thanks Lee
